Cruise Journal - Cozumel, Mexico

Thursday, January 31, 2013

Our last port : ( but we are excited once again to have a share in the field ministry.  Gordon and I were extra excited to see our friend Carrina.  We met Carrina when we visited Cozumel in 2010 while I was shopping for what else...purses!  I went to get money out of my wallet and Carrina noticed my Medical Directive in my wallet and realized that we were her brother and sisters!  She was so excited and we kept in touch ever since.  We promised that we would return and we are happy that we were able to keep our promise.

So we headed off of the ship, grabbed a cab and headed to the meeting for service.  It was interesting because they didn't meet at the Kingdom Hall for service during the week, they met in a more centrally located area.  Well...Gordon showed the cab driver where we wanted to go, and he pulled up in fron of this church!  We were all like, "ummm...this is not where we wanted to go!"  LOL  I guess we looked religious!  LOL

Brad was a congregation elder, but he was under the weather that day, but still came to lead the group out in the ministry.

Working the territory was interesting.  There is one English-speaking congregation on the entire island of Cozumel, and there are only about 35 publishers to cover the entire territory.  So they have to canvas searching for English-speaking people.  It was an interesting process in how they made notes on the territory map to keep track.

An interesting mural on the side of a building...

We then were able to swing by two Kingdom Halls, although Gordon was able to get inside...we didn't have the pleasure!

We then headed to do what we did best...eat!!!!

When we finished eating we heading back to town to do a little shopping and it started to rain...buckets...big buckets!!!!  So we headed back to the ship a little early, where Gordon was determined to demonstrate that the robes that the ship provide are not for the average sized man!  LOL!

Back on the ship it was the final formal night of the cruise!  Everyone got all "dolled up"!  And it was the night that I waited for the entire cruise...ESCARGOT!!!!!  Yummy!  I even convince Nailah and Curtis to give it a try and they survived!

Off to do what else...KAROAKE!!!!

The boat was really rocking this evening!  I don't know what everyone else did, but I went to bed!!!!
